Wooden Raised Beds

Maximise your growing space with a raised bed

Raised beds offer a simple and effective way to create a healthy and productive garden by manipulating the growing environment for the better. And the best part is, no matter how bad the ground you’re starting with, ideal planting conditions can be created for soil structure and drainage; essential keys to success.

Wooden Raised Planters

Raised beds produce a variety of benefits: they extend the planting season, they can reduce weeds if designed and planted properly, and they reduce the need to use poor native soil. Since the gardener does not walk on the raised beds, the soil is not compacted and the roots have an easier time growing. The close plant spacing and the use of compost generally result in higher yields with raised beds in comparison to conventional row gardening. Waist-high raised beds enable the elderly and physically disabled to grow vegetables without having to bend over to tend them

It’s important to think about what’s most comfortable and practical for you when you are gardening. Also, consider where the bed will be positioned and whether you can stand or sit next to one side of the bed, or whether both sides are accessible.

What Our Customers Say

Abel Landscapes were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. We were given advice by Darren Moss on the best layout for our garden, which included plans for areas we had not even considered. The workforce were so professional and never stopped working for a minute. They cleared up after themselves and left everywhere spick and span. I would thoroughly recommend them.
